Red face Purrrfect Setup!!!

I have just bought an 05 350z performance!!! I am getting opinions on the perfect wheel and tire setup. I know that I want 19''x10.5 in the rear and I am unsure about the fronts. Maybe some 18x8.5. I am not sure on the offset and I want about a 3'' lip. I do not want anything to rub. What do you all think the perfect setup is? 19'' all the way around? 8.5 or 9.5 in the front? Wheel brand is not important to me seeing I am going to get what I like for looks but I also want to do it right the first time. I have a great wheel guy in my area but I dont think he has done a 350z with these wheel diminsions!!! Thanks for all the help!!

Peace, Nick

IMO 19x9.5(f) and 19x10.5(r) would be your best bet. as for the offsets +22 all the way around looks flush.

Thanks ChriZTT!! I am having a little trouble finding 19" rims in those sizes that I like. It appears that I will be spending over $2500.00 for rims and tires. And that is going to hurt my **** a little.

$2500.00 for rims and tires of a reputable brand [volk] is a great price.

19" wheels are $$$. anything more than 8" wide is $$$

add them together, and you get $$$$$$.. wheels are not cheap.

save your pennies, and do it right.

^^^^ +1

Go straight away for a decent setup, otherwise you'll want to change it again in the near future...

Yeah you are right about the $$$$$$$$$$$$ part. I went to my tire guy and it looks to be around $3000.00. He tried to find some 19's but everyone he called suggested 18's. I think this will be a longer process than I thought! Just got the new Sportz Mag and it has a good write up about wheels. I will re-read it before I go back. So many things to consider!!

If performance is a key issue, remember that weight matters for power and handling....unsprung weight!

BTW, I am glad you enjoyed the article...

That is true. I will be spending some change on an exhaust first. Rims will be later!!
