2004 350z with 31000 miles. repaced front tires 3 times original plus 2 repacements at dealer due to feathering now i have about 10000 on this set of tires and the noise is back. i brought it into thedealer and they did an wheel alignment, and told me the car was slightly out of align. if you look at my tires they look new but have the feathering. nissan is not willing to give me another set of tires even though they have extended the wheel alignment warranty till 10/06 with unlimited mileage. just wondering if other owners are still having tire issues after bring the car in and having nissan due the alignments. they have changed the spec. 3x already. thanks

 

There is a feathering stickie in the tire forum for feathering. Your experience is not uncommon. Please read.

 

For me changing tires FIXED the issue. I had some aftermarkets that wore badly in 4K miles and some that didnt. Just about 3-4 months ago, I put my stock rims on and got a free set of the new designed tire which are fine too. They do not have the option of not giving you the new design tires....
