BF Goodrich KDW-2's:
Good:
- Super grippy when warm
- Good wet traction
- Stiff sidewall
- Bad-*** tread pattern
- Won't break the bank ($70/tire less than stock OEM RE040's)
- Great compromise between street and auto-x tire
Bad:
- Loud as fawk (They have quieted down a slight bit since initial install)

+1 on toyo t1r, never driven them in the rain but dry traction is awesome. I was worried when car and driver said they werent that good but I love them. Plus there not that expensive for a performance tire. I was going to buy eagle f1 gs d3 and they were a little over a $1000 and i got the toyos for $850. The tread looks mean in person.

falken ziex 512
245/45/17 up front and 255/45/17 on the OEM 17's
They are pretty good for the price over the stockers. I am not sure how much of it is due to the width increase but they hook up better and I don't spin the rears nearly as much as I did the potenzzas. I still can spin them when its wet but its nothing like the OEM tires.
Edit: they also have a 30k mile tread warranty... I am not sure if discount will honor it since I can't rotate the tires but hopefully they hold up for at least 20k miles or so.

Pros:
Excellent Wet Traction.
Good Mud Traction (Actually got out of a 4" deep mud pit with them up hill)
Excellent Snow Traction.
Medium Dry Traction (A little less than stock)
It takes longer to get to 130mph on these tires, at high speed (high temp) you seem to loose a lot of traction. For 90mph and below they are just fine. The do not get a squirly as the stock Potenza's, so latteral traction is improved.
I plan to keep on running these on the stock wheels for winter months and get a good summer tire for the rest.
