problem mounting wheel
so I ordered a wheel specifically for the 350Z. As I went to go put in on, i noticed the lugs would not go thriugh the holes in the wheel. I looked again to make sure all the lugs were lined up, and sure enough, they were. I mad sure nothing was obstructing the back part of the wheel, and I found nothing. Does something need to be removed or what? The wheel will not go all the way in the fender
did you try front and Rear? (I think the front rotors have a peice the sticks out to prevent ppl from rotating front to rear)
What's the lug pattern of the new rims?
Do the rims clear your brakes?

I don't know about the rears, but my fronts have this bolt. Is this what's preventing the wheel from sliding on? Are the calipers on the 06's bigger than previous models? What is that bolt for and what will happen if I remove it?
I'm pretty sure the bolt was their to keep the rotors from falling off as the car goes down the assembly line. You can take it off with out worry, your wheel, wheel studs and lug nuts are what really hold the rotor on.
This removal of the little bolt will only solve the problem of not being able to seat you wheels flush on the rotors. If your not getting the studs through the bolt holes on the wheel that's a different problem.
Hope that helps.

The little bolt on the front was put there by the factory to keep people from mixing up the front and rear tires during service. You will need to take it off for your aftermarket wheels.
