Question Difference between ASA JH8 and Kazera KZ-A

These wheels look identical....aside from the spoke (JH8 does not have any lettering on the wheel). Does anyone have experience with the JH8?

ASA JH8

Kazera KZ-A

Thanks,

Dan

P.S. I heard that ASA makes wheels for BBS? Is this true?

The ASA JH8 is a Replica of the Kazara. From the looks of it, they are about the same quality. If you like The Lettering on the KZ-A, go for it. I Think the ASA is less epensive at most places.

They are both Nismo replicas, made in Korea I believe. I think I read somewhere that the ASAs are about a pound lighter than the Kazeras. They don't make the wheels for BBS, but they have some kind of contract to use BBS's manufacturing techniques, or something like that. I had the black Kazeras on my last Z, and I really liked them, but I hated the big yellow "Kazera" on the spoke. If I decide to be cheap again on my new Z and not dish out the money on Nismos, I think I'm either going to try the ASAs or the Rotas.

I may have to ASA due to "non-budgetary" reasons, such as convincing the woman it's ok....haha

I was thinking of running:

18x9.5 +35mm JH8 on all 4 corners
295/35YR18 Kumho ECSTA MX on the rear
275/35YR18 Kumho ECSTA MX on the front.

Any opinions?

Thanks,

Dan

Hey - did you ever get these for your car? If you did, post some pics.

Congrats! Those '06 Rays are awesome - way better than the ASAs!

My Kazeras had warranty leaflets from ASA wheels (licensed by BBS) in the box. Inside the leaflets it has "Wheels manufactured by Hankook Tire MFG. CO. LTD". They are probably all the same company.

Yeah, I think they are the same. I had Kazeras on my last Z, but I didn't like having "Kazera" carved into the spoke of the wheel, so I'm going with the ASAs this time.

No time...I needed them quick, and the ASAs will be here tomorrow. The Rotas are very nice though. I may upgrade to them later, if I don't just get the Nismos.
