Take it for what it's worth....but I've done a great deal of research on this topic and asked all the same questions posted above about 3 months ago and haven't stopped learning since. I'm going with a 265 and 285 combo on a 9 and 10" wheel respectively and it will allow me to lower if I want with little chance of having to roll fenders. Everyone needs to do their own research to get exactly what they want because taste is subjective. I put a great deal of time and effort into learning about the implications of different offsets, and for me my numbers are the answer. For you they may be different, but I'd like to hear from you after you mount them up and ride on them for a while. Tell us what kind of tire wear you get and if you run into problems when you lower if you're going to.
thanx for the respectful responce.

I plan on getting 245/35 in front. I am NOT going as aggressive as the RH 8.5 +17mm offset, BUT am getting 8.0 +16mm, so it will not be out towards the fender as far.

The guy who has the RH wheels says he get NO rubbing and plans to lower.

I will keep you up to date, when I get my wheels.

Default spacer?

bdiddy......you are truly informative....i love all your posts...AND, your wheels....

There are some questions for you..

1. What are the weight comparisons between your stock wheel and the axis setup you got?
2. which brand/model are your tires?
3. How much you got them for all together?

Thanx....appreciated

Yep. What's 1mm between friends anyway? The wife took the camera and the kids today. I'm really gonna miss that camera ! They'll be back tonight and I'll snap off some more pics. I don't plan on putting the car "in the weeds", but I do plan on close to an inch drop out of the Eibach springs in front. It may not be enough, but the rear looks pretty good as it sits and the Eibach's drop the rear by more than an inch...hmmmm. There may be coil overs in my future. This car will get a little bit of track time, not much, but I do want it to be functional.

I'm loved in Canada! I knew I'd find my niche...Jerry Lewis and I will have to plan a tour!

1. I'll be able to give you a weight comparison later in the week, but the numbers will include the rubber. I wasn't too concerned because the Rays will be my track tramps, with Hoosier's on them they'll be really light. I need to get lighter rotors...the stock rotors are REALLY heavy.
2. Bridgestone S03's
3.a. I bought the tires on-line through Tire Rack. About $1,100 after shipping.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes....+Pole+Position

b. I got the wheels and spacers directly from Axis Sport Tuning.

http://www.axiswheels.com/se7enmod.html

The wheels run $1560 at retail.

I have the weights for these wheels with the tires mounted and balanced (wheel weights) so I can give you approximates. I have "backed out" the claimed weight on the SO3's (Bridgstone's website).

19x8 shod with 245/35's totals 52lbs. - 28lbs. (tire) = 24 lbs.*

20x10 shod with 285/30's totals 59lbs. - 31lbs. (tire) = 28 lbs.*

I don't know if this helps, but I'm not too concerned about the weight of my street set up...I'm looking for the valet pimp factor!

*all weights are were taken as I clutched these wheels and tires in my garage on my bathroom scale. Resulting in a total combined weight of myself and tire. I then deducted my fat *** out to arrive at the final total tire and wheel weight as a starting point. Your results may vary.

Default They look great!

Awesome!

I have read and re-read the thread a few times and still get lost on the offset deal. But the veredict is in : they look great.

I do like the look of the "out to the edge" or "filled fenderwell".

Of course, mine is a redline but probably looks as well.

Hey, BDiddy, why don't you come out to Fla and help me with mine? I'll put up the $$$, you put up the know-how!

I'll have to post a picture of me sporting a thong in South Beach weighing slaponte's wheels during my visit.

Damn that looks good. Is that pre suspension work? The rear & front both look like they're sitting at a perfect height.
