Installed Toyos Proxes T1S 245/45/18 & 255/45/18
In addition to new tires these are new wheels for me as I got a set of Track Rays therefore no Brembos behind the wheels. I was going from the 17 inch wheels, I went with the 245/45 and 255/45 because they were different from the stock 17 diameters by the same amount therefore should not have any problems with TCS or ABS, none yet, the only difference would be a 2 MPH diff at 70 MPH, but the stock 18 are already 1 MPH difference from the stock 17 so I wasn't to concerned with this. The ride is excellent grip the road much better and just a hair more road noise at highway speed but very little, the whine when you hit the gas at highway speeds is louder. Here are some pics

Thanks for the Pics Westpac, The "big" wheel bunch may not find them attractive....... However, for "real world" driving I believe they are the best compromise between performance and drivabilaty.
They have enough sidewall to retain a comfortable ride (quite frankly the Z can be a little harsh) and I'm sure enough grip for any street aplication.
I do hope the front end dosn't feel to heavy now. The Z was so easy to stear as it was...........oh the price of lateral G's
CS track

And for the track I am going to put some competition Kumho's on my 17's and tear it up, plus my Nismo Sway bars when they get here, so it will be a lot of fun.

The "track" wheels are nice for OEM, very light from what I understand. Question for ya.....If you had to do it over again would you go with the 40 series? Or would you feel that would be to small looking?
I still have a chanch to change my order.

Where an the Helll did you find TS1 proxies in this size? I have looked all over the planet, and could not find any Toyo tires with the 245/45/18 & 255/45/18 sizes?

How are the Toyos doing? I've thought about Kumho Ecsta MX's considering the price difference. Do you have any advice for me?

Love the Toyo's, just did a track event yesterday and I used the Rays because I thought I had a leak in my 17's and they were awsome, but also much softer and wore more than the stock bridgestones did.
I am going to get a set of tires for the 17's to dedicate to track and I am thinking of the MX's because I will be able to drive them to the events without worry of rain as with R compounds and they are cheaper than the Toyo's.
If you are going to drive street only the Toyo's would be good but after yesterday too expensive to use on the track.

On my next set I will probably go with 245/40 and 255/40 as I want to drop the car and the 45 I think might make it a little close during hard driving as in track events.
