Default Any big difference between 18x9.5 and 18x10.5

Man, I wanted to get the TE37's in 18x10.5 rears but the guy said it is like 60 plus day to order. However they have a set 18x8.5 +30 and 18x9.5 +35 and will sell them at cost , so about $2200 OTD installed. I think this is apretty good deal. Any real difference between th two besides the extra inch. I was planning to use 275/40/18 tires. What you guys think= wait or just do it? Also is the rear offset OK at +35?

i'd do the 8.5/9.5 setup., any bigger is usually working against you (friction, mass) unless you have 450+whp. Fatter wheels are just for looks after 9.5 in the rear..

If you're planning on using the 275 tire then go with 9.5 in the rear because the 275 will look way too stretched on a 10.5 width wheel.

8.5 and 9.5 is fine width wise but those offsets are extremely conservative. with those widths, i would go with an offset beween +15 and +22.

I have 9.5/10.5 which look awesome. As far as performance there is a slight compromise, but it's not noticeable unless your concerned with track times; which would be slower with 19's anyway. The tradeoff is better handling. I agree with those offsets being too conservative. Definitely go with something in the mid to low 20s.

those are the only offsets they have in stock. everything else is special order. thats why maybe there pushing this deal. Im beginning to like the idea of 18in Nismos for $1700 on Ebay same widths but offsets at +25 and +30

Which is the exact reason why they are still in stock. Better to wait and get something worthwile instead of rushing to get something your not going to be happy with a month later.
