I have not really seen that combination on here but according to the calculators the 255/40/18 is very close to the stock 225/45/18. I've seen that most of the guys on here are running 245/40/18 fronts on the stock 8" rims, but why not the 255's? Basically, what are the drawbacks from running 255/40 fronts and 255/45 rears.

255/40/18(F) overall height: 661.2mm
255/45/18(R) overall height: 682.2mm

18X8 wheels all around is fine. The rear tires are 21mm taller than the front. That should make VDC happy.

Question, Why do you want to go wider in the Front? Are you looking for more Latteral Gs? From what I understand, Running 255s all the way arround with a 15mm Spacer in the Rear and a Rear Anti-Sway bar will get you close to 1g on the Skidpad..
