This is the best Volk thread by far IMO. And I'm not even biased because I don't even own a set of GT-S's!

Default Volk GT-Series replacement barrels

Hello All,

Can someone point me to where I can get the barrels for the Volk GT-S?

I'm needing couple barrels, 10.5" with the 5" lip.

I know it's very hard to find Volk Barrels, is there any place that can make me the barrels that'll fit the GT-S wheels?

Thanks

Default Volk GTS Custom Brushed Face Polished Lip

I just recently received my new custom gts wheels from J "Mistasleepi" the sleeping ninja! I will post pictures on the car after the coilover and spc install. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that if you ever get a chance to do business with J, the wheels will turn out this good. The pictures speak for themselves. Thanks again J!

Bumping this back up. Just ordered a set of Mercury Silver GTS's. Volk is discontinuing them later this year. I'm kind of happy, it'll lock in the rarity and mystery of the GTS's.

Also if someone knows where to get a set of the SF-Challenge center caps let me know as they are discontinued to purchase separately.

So since volk is discontinuing the GT-S's, they no longer can make me the 9.5+17's, but they can make the 9.5+28's. Think id be ok going with the 9.5+28's in the front with a 10mm spacer? Both have the same 94mm lip, just the +17 is the A offset and the +28 is the B.

So since the A offset is all sold out, im going to have to go with either the 19x9.5 +14, or +28 for the fronts.

Any word on if you can fit a +14 with 255's and clear the Brembos with a small spacer without having to add camber?

Just as a reference: BBS specs are 20-25, Work Wheels 20-25, forged 3 piece custom 30-35. I wouldn't go with anything less than 25 when rebuilding. 20 first then 30 second time around. I set my GTCs right at 32 when they were rebuilt.

problem is if you happen to bend one that cannot be repaired. if you can't find a replacement, all become useless

Default Volk GTS question

I have the tpms mounted in my GT-S rims using the valve stems with the little loop in the inside and this is an awful setup. I've been having air leaks from the valve stems, and I've broken 4 over the last few months (guess they can't handle the speed! Lol). Anyway, I saw that the later production runs of the GT-S rims had a separate hole for the Tpms to be mounted as a separate valve stem, hidden somewhat on the inside of the rim. I found a shop that says can drill the rims for me and they have a good reputation so while I trust them, I'd like to know as much as possible first. Does anyone on here know where the factory had the holes? We're they on one of the contours of the rim so the TPMS laid flat? Did they countersink the holes? Any pictures? Is this a terrible idea? Thanks for your help!
