Default Balancing new tire/wheels

I am in the process of replacing tires and despise those stupid lead wheel weights that the shops usually put on your rim to balance it. After a short time they slide around fall off and scratch the finish of the wheel so it looks like neglected junk.

Since some of you spend $1K to $4K on wheels, I cannot imagine you tolerating this nonsense either.

Has anyone here at the forum tried the little beads that go inside of your tire and presumably balance the wheel and tire together? If so, does it work? I am open to other ideas as well - How do they balance them from the factory? Stock there are no wheel weights on any of the Z's I have seen.

Thanks for the help!

Ask for them to be tape weighted (and for a dynamic balance). If they don't immediately know what you mean, go somewhere that knows what they're doing. Too many monkeys out there at shops who don't know squat about mounting and balancing tires/wheels. Tape weights are stuck to the inside of your rim instead of on the lip of the face. The stock wheels are tape weighted from the factory.

Use the link below to go to Hunter Engineering's GSP9700 website. There you can enter some information and find a shop in your area that has one. It is by far the best machine in the world for balancing tires. The site will explain how it works. Hope this helps.
