Default 2006 Grand Touring/Track Rays...Pics

Just got them mounted on my car...2003 Touring....for those of you curious how they look.

I also weighed the stock touring vs the new track rays and here are the numbers:

2003 Front:
rim size = 18x8
tire size = 225/45/r18
weight = 52.4 lbs
condition = ~50% tread left

2006 Front:
rim size = 18x9
tire size = 245/45/r18
weight = 49.7 lbs
condition = less that 500 miles on them

=============

2003 Rear:
rim size = 18x8
tire size = 245/45/r18
weight = 51.8 lbs
condition = No tread, smooth as a baby's butt.

2006 Rear:
rim size = 19x10
tire size = 265/35/r19
weight = 54.4 lbs
condition = less than 500 miles on them

I'm not sure the percentage, but it's whatever is legal on the rear doors of sedans in FL (basically making it slightly not legal).

The weight saving in the front is 3 pounds.
And the rear wheels are 3 pounds more heavy.
Is that correct?

yes. I attribute that to the larger tires, wheels, and the fact that there is more tread left whereas the old rears were bald. I think the tread constitutes a good portion of the weight with respect to the total tire weight. Dan

Bridgestone Potenza RE050a. My 2003 Touring had the RE040 and this tread pattern looks similar. One thing to note is that the front appear to have a slightly different pattern than the rear....there is a single band of unbroken rubber on the inside half of the tread. This looks like a similar technique they used on the revised RE040 Nissan was putting on, except only on one side.

They grip pretty damn good though....

You wouldn't happen to know the offset on each of these wheels, would you?

I retract my previous comment on the differing tread patterns...looks the same front and rear. I didn't notice the continuous block on the rear until just now.

Regarding the offset, I have absolutely no clue except the wheels fill out the fenders nicely. Looks to be some room for much wider tires in the rear.

Still trying to figure out why they went with a 265 in the rear... 275/35-19 is the correct size to match the stock ratios, what nearly everyone who upsizes rear tires uses and what Nismo reccomends for their LMGT4 rims.

They probably chose the sizes to eliminate some of the understeer (or push for you nascar fans) that the car naturally exhibits with the standard sizing. i haven't taken this particular setup on the track yet so i can't confirm, but it only makes sense.
