I've had the Z since new; the studs are OEM. I dismounted the OEM Rays Track wheels and installed RHJ8's without the need to swap studs - in 2005, and have run them until this change. I have a set of mag shank lug nuts, but they're chrome (and heavy, though the unsprung weight difference is negligible), and I wanted a different look:
The extended studs on the 15mm spacers that I used engage every thread that the tuner nuts have, and the conical nuts mate to conical washers that are the same surface area touching the lug recess as the mag shank washers - so it's sound.
Notice that the rear wheel recesses between the lug bosses are large enough to accommodate not only a protruding stud, but a nut as well:
The problem is that the same isn't true of the front wheel design:
About 25% of the diameter of the stud hits the forging
Another mod I did was to modify flush mount valve stems so that TPMS sensors could be used:
There are no flush mount valve stems on the market currently (that I'm aware of) that accept a TPMS screw, so I did it myself.
The way I accomplished this was to figure out the space in the flush mount valve stem available to allow the Shrader valve to fully articulate. I threaded the backside (rim-side) of that valve stem to allow the hollow TPMS mounting screw to thread into it, and - conveniently - the inner diameter of the stem is the right size to cut threads, and viola:
Hello guys!
I've been browsing the forum for hours and I still can't find the answer for my question.
Has anyone mounted spacers to Nismo Toruing V2 18/19 ?
This is my Z on stock suspension and I want to buy spacers but I have no idea which to choose...

Thank you in advance for any help!
You can drop offsets down to +15 on those but figure on possibly rolling rears at that offset if you run anything larger than existing 265s.
What is everyone running for tire size? I am ready for new rubber and wanted to go wider but I am having issues finding something decent that works with the 18 front and 19 rear. Lets hear what sizes you are running with the Nismo wheels.

I searched and its not easy to find a definitive answer for 18 fronts and 19 rears. Maybe just keep you pie hole shut if you have no reasonable response.

I randomly saw this when I was looking for pictures. I did have them redone by VR Wheels, who did a horrible job on them, and then said they'd redo/fix them, and feel through with that.
Gave up waiting for "early" (09-12) Nismo wheels to trade my late models for so loaded up the '14 wheels up with Toyo Proxes 1 (which I really like but that's another tire test thread). Stlll not crazy on the gun metal but its growing on me and the tire fit went from "near-perfect" to perfect.
sitting in very odd light between afternoon and dusk.
Common knowledge but posts with no specs bugs me so:
F: 19x9.5 +20 effective (20mm spacer), 255/35-19 Toyo Proxes 1
R: 19x10.5 +23, 285/35-19 Toyo Proxes 1
I was playing around with some extra wheels in the garage.
I think I like it.
For now...
Very nice. The thing that baffles me with the Niz V3 wheels is that with the right tires (even the Bridgestone RE050 - or 040, whatever - OE tire), the performance is still amazing despite the boat anchor weight of the rears....some 29 lbs/whill!
Now I just need to find a square set of nismo wheels for the wife’s X.
Just kidding. Kind of...
Funny you say that..... just asked a guy on facebook about his square Niz v3 setup (front 18s) that he listed for almost a grand with tahrs. $800 w/o tires. Uhh, yeah, no. I bought a full stagger v3 set for $650! (With usable tahrs).
I casually browse around for a square setup of some of the newer Nismo wheels with higher offsets since the OEM specs on hers are +50 for 18x8 and +47 for 19x8.5. Maybe a square set of some LMZ5 fronts... Mmmmmm

Remind me.... what car does she have?
LMZ5? Good luck finding those. I have NEVER seen a set of those on any car except on one 370Z for sale and my own set. Someone around here just sold a set of LMGT5s (Z34 Nismo '09-'13) for $800 (Rough condition but a simple blast n' powder woulda done those up nicely.)
