Default What do you need when buying new rims....

Ok i know very very very dumb question... but when you buy rims you do you need new lugs?

Yes again a very newbish question buy I have never bought new rims. And I am planning on getting those Rotas at the end of the summer, and want to plan out how much cash I need.

The rims should be around 900 shipped.
Tires are no prob since I can get them locally.

But would stock lugs fit? If so they prob will look nasty. So if they do not fit where do you get lugs from and can anyone give me an estimate on how much they would cost? Nothing fancy...plz

It depends - my Volks came with smaller lug nuts as the stock ones would have been a pretty tight fit (19mm vs 21mm). I believe the Nismo wheels also comes with smaller lug nuts. I've seen sets of regular lug nuts for about $20-25. If you get into the lightweights like the Rays Duraluminum you're looking at $125 for a set.

Subydude should be able to provide some or any of the other wheel vendors here: Status, Auto RnD, Wheelautohaus, WorldOne, f1motorsport....

Hey,

The stock lugs will not fit, they have a different contact patch and the Rota wheels and alot of other aftermarket wheels require a conical style lug. We do have lugs that will work very well with the wheels in stock. I would recommend the Mcgard lug which is lightweight and also has a very neat feature that protects the wheel paint. There is a washer piece on the bottum of the lug which stays still when putting the lugs on and so whenever you rotate your wheels the wheels paint will always be in perfect condition.

If you have any other questions feel free to shoot me a PM
