I need to find out how much a 275/40-18 Nitto NT555 weighs. Any ideas on how I can find this out?

Its an excellent and important question, but not often available. What you might do is contact the seller and ask for the shipping weight. That will give you a good idea.

if this is for performance reasons then why not bring a scale to someplace that carries them and weigh them yourself?

Also check the tire manufacturers' websites. Some of them include the tire weights. For example, Toyo's are available here: http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_specsheet.cfm?id=20

Not sure if Nitto has the same info.

YES, you would simply place it on a scale.

It doesnt matter now because the setup that Im going to go with for drag racing (16" draglites) is going to be a lot lighter than my street setup. Thanks anyways.
