Default Please help report tire feathering if 05 or 06

I am looking to buy a 350z and worry about the front tire feathering and road noise. I know that Nissan changed the suspension for the newer models, but is there anyone that can say that it helped?

For anyone with a 05 or 06 350Z:
1) Please tell you mileage
2) Are your tires feathering?

Thanks,
Jeff

I don't think it had anything to do with suspension, it was more related to alignment and tires. Two years ago, this was the hottest topic on the boards but since the second TSB (the one that included the '04 models), the whole tire feathering issue seems to have subsided significantly.

I had feathering with my 2004.5 Z. Brought it in and they realigned the front end and swapped front tires from side-to-side. Six months later, it was back and about the same time, the second TSB came out. After recalibrating their machine, the dealer re-aligned the front end again and replaced the front tires. I drove on them another 6K miles with no signs of the feathering returning.

They announced the TSB, but that's just a waranty and not a fix. What about after the waranty expires for the long term? I got turned off from buying an 03 because of this issues and that the warranty was going to expire. Do you think that Nissan will announce another TSB that effects 05 or 06?

No need for a TSB on the 05s and 06s if they're not having the problem. Like I said, you don't see nearly the number of posts about feathering like we used to see two years ago.

My front seem to be fine after 7k. But my rears seem to be wearing unevenly, looking from the back of the car, the inner part of the tire is about 20% less than the rest of it. ill get pics soon
