How bad is it? I have search and no one has done something like this LMAO! Guru's I require your guidance...

The tires are Falken Zien 512. My traction and cornering has improved, but there must be a downside...

Lot of space in between tire and fender. These were supposed to just get me from Cali to Colorado but I might leave them on if the pros outweigh the cons.

driving in a straight line i guess? if your car feels more balanced then so be it. I know i'd slip a lot ore if i had 215s. Im looking to get 9.5 wheels to fit 275s in the rear.

The stock potenzza's are pretty lame... but thats surprising your traction improved going to a smaller tire.

going from 225/50/17 to 215/45/17 is going to throw your speedo by quite a bit... I run 245/45/17 which is actually smaller than the 225/50/17 and I noticed I am about 1mph slower at 70mph. I know there aren't that many tires that come in the size 225/50 and 235/50 but you can put 245/45 and 255/45 on the stock 17's and keep a good stagger and size and get a little bit of exta width to boot.

Hey that's exactly the size of tires I was going to "upgrade" to , since I have a Base. What brand of tires are you running? I was thinking Nitto 555's for me. Also, the extra sidewall "bulge" isn't noticeable, is it?
