easily the dumbest question ever
when you buy new tires...what the hell are those hundreds of little rubber spikes/nubs all over the tire...are they indicate that the tires are new?? just really curious

They are from the manufacturing process and serve no real purpose.

actually, they are rubber "injections" .. they inject more rubber into the tire, and that is the leftover string that stays on the outside. no purpose really
