Default Toyo T1 vs better wearing tire.

I am running Toyo proxies T1's on Volk SF-challenge wheels. I did not get much life out of the Toyo's and was wondering if anyone could suggest a better wearing tire without compromising handleing. How about the BFG's? I kept my alignment up but still had really bad wear out of the Toyo's.

I would recommend the BFG KDWs. i talked to someone who has owned toyo proxes t1r and kdws and he said there was little noticeable difference in traction and bfgs lasted longer

Recommendations from Consumer Reports.

Toyo makes one of the best performance tires: the T1-S. Sticky tires and treadwear are inversely related. The more sticky the tire - the less the treadwear number. I recommend that you stick with one of the top-5 tires above. Check treadwear ratings before buying.

Michelin PS2s. A little pricy but well worth it.

How old are those recommendations? Several of those tires have been superseded by newer versions/models. My guess would be that some of those could be easily 3 years old.

its all about alignment...I got 30k out of my T1S

tire wear ratings are only valid when compared to other tires by the same manufacturer - it is not a universal standard
