Default Mercury Silver Volk GT-C's on Black pics

Mercury Silver Volk GT-C's on my Black 350Z. Stock ride height. The wheels are the exact same ones as in Skidazzle's earlier thread. 19x8.5" fronts, 19x9.5" rears. Tires are Toyo Proxies T1S 255/35R19 all four. Now you should be asking yourself "why only 255's on the rear?"! Well I got a killer deal on them, about half price. Also, the 255's are 8 POUNDS lighter than my next alternative SO3 275's. I'm not all that happy with the looks of the 255's though, so will probably upsize soon.

BTW, the car is kind of dirty and it's a cloudy cold day here in KC

Dan

looks good, I agree with you on the 255 in the rear, at least when you upsize, you can use those 255s as spare fronts

Looking good.......I wish I had a magic button that could change my silverstone into black. Atleast when it is really clean.

McDAN,

Important question----What Lugs are you using??I'm bout to order a blk set and I have the same wheels as you(on the way) and I need to know how narrow the Lug hole is!! On my old TE-37's,..they had a very narrow hole,.so I used Mcgard Lugs w/ locks,..and they we're like a spline lug and pretty thin--I don't feel like payin that again($100+),...when there's set on ebay that looks perfect! If I'm not mistaken,..these are VOLK lugs!!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6770

but need to know If I need to get a Skinny lug,..or did the stock lugs work?? ANYone w/ GT-C's can answer this,.I need to get them on the way!!! so I can throw ebeyrthingon @ once!!!

PLEASE quick reply!!!!

Thanx guys!

You will need the Volk nuts, or at least some of the same style. Those on your link will not work because of the external hex type. The lug holes are very small, and the lug nuts must have an internal hex type drive, the outside of the lugnut is round (I don't know how to better explain it). Stock lug nut styles will not even come close to working.

Default Cleaning the rims

Many of the new rims seem to have the "allen head" screws on them around the edge. They look good but anyone know whether they would be hard to keep clean?

Does dirt and stuff get into the allen heads and around the screw? If not really looked after do they look dark and dirty??

Just wondering...

Rims are lookin good... is the mercury silver more like the silver or gunmetal type color? and also... i thinking about lowering your car at all? looks like you got a little extra space there... but thats just my opinion!
