Simple question for rear wheels setup...
Hello everyone!
Iam kind of new in the Z bussines. I live in Greece and I have my Z for about half a year. Ive got a greddy evo2 exhaust with random cats and a K&N panel filter. Thats all.... for now. The Z is a very expensive car here in Greece. 59k Euros for 6MT, leather seats and brembos with stock 18" rims (no rays!). Thats y I didn't get a TT kit yet. Anyway...
I have collected some money and i wanna spend them on wheels. GT-7 is my decision and the question is simple (I did a search before asking but i couldn't find a str8 forward answer). Will I need to roll the rear fenders with:
First case: 19x9.5@+30 with 285/35/19 contisportcon2?
Second case: 19x10.5@+30 with 285/35/19 contisportcon2?
Thanks in advance.

what about the first case. will it rub?
U see the problem is that where I live there are no good shops for tuning. I cannot find anyone with the machine for rolling the fenders and if i cut them I will have to repaint them to avoid rust (!expensive!).Help!
If you cut them, u can always use an outdoor silicone sealant. It should hold very nicely. You can also use the spray on truck bedding..that stuff is sold in small bottles and would be cheaper, easier and last VERY long.

No you will not rub either case. I know two people on here that have the 285/35 setup one that has his car lowered and the other not lowered and they both don't rub. The person that doesn't have his car lowered has a +26 offset. Another person on here with the VOLK GTS with the crazy +18 setup not lowered on 285/35 doesn't have rubbing issues. Bubbles is the other. He has his Z lowered but I forget the offset. You'll be fine and just to make sure your talking about the rears right?

I dont think with a +30 and a 285 on a 10.5" wheel will rub. To be certian run the 9.5" wheel, Im positive that wont rub, but the second option will look better. Worst case if it does rub, roll the fenders...
you will be fine, even lowered, on a 19x10.5.
Even with "wide" 275's (ala Bridgestones), you'll be fine on a lowered Z. The Conti's don't run particular "big" for their size...you should be fine

might yes, had he made another tire choice...but not likely with the tires he is going with. Like I have said about a billion times before, tire sizes don't operate in a vacuum - saying a 275 will rub or a 285 won't is honestly meaningless, as it is all down to the specific tire choice. Given his tire choice (they dont run "big" like an S03/PS2/KDW do), he should be fine.
This should be stickid - the "will I rub, won't I rub" is hinged on factors that most people never bring up - the specific tire, the specific drop, the specific shock/spring, and the rear alignment settings.

I have the Stern 19" staggerred wheels, with bfg tires (245/35/19, and 255/35/19) They are 8.5 " and 9.5", 3.5 inch polished lip, and i forget the offset, but i never rub.
