Got In Accident - Damaged Iforged Wheels Question
My fellow Z forum brothers - neeed some help...
Just got into an accident yesterday
Magically, the only thing that was damaged on the entire car was two of my iForged wheels. The inner part of the wheels are bent. Luckily for me, I purchased the 3pc. version and not the 2pc. so I'm assuming that IForged wheels can take the wheel apart and replace the outer hoop for a modest fee.
My question is : Has anyone who've damaged their Iforged wheels sent them in for any sort of repair/replacement to them? How was the overall cost and turnaround time? Have any of you actually dropped your wheels off for repair at their actual location in Anaheim? I'd hate to have to pack these wheels up and ship them since they're so close to where I currently reside.

While I've never had Iforged wheels, I've had enough experience with 3-piece race wheels to provide some advise. You didn't give any details on your accident, but if the inner halves of your wheels were damaged that badly, there's probably more that just replacing a wheel halve to make the wheel whole again. You need to have the damaged wheel put on a machine to check the run-out and all THREE parts of the wheels. I've seen 3-piece racing wheels that had sufficent force applied to BEND the center section badly enough that the repair would cost more than a new wheel.
Pick a reputable wheel shop and have them do a full assessment. Or send them back to the original factory, but don't get too upset if they give you a big bill. I'd get them off my Z and also check for other damage to suspension components.

To give you a better idea what the damage to the wheels look like, if you were to dismount the wheels off the car and flipped them face down on the ground, looking at the wheels, the edges of the wheel would be mangled and bent and not perfectly round, which caused the tires to lose air very quickly and rapidly. The tires itself are in perfect condition. The face side of the wheels have no damage at all and mounted on the Z, it looks like I just had a flat tire.
Also, I had my brother come down with a pair of my stock wheels/tires and swapped them onto the Z. I drove about 20 miles home and it was smooth, no problems, so I don't think there is any suspension damage. I only went over a concrete 'island' going about 40mph and landed on the left side of the inner wheel is what led to all the damage.
I just hope that I don't have to go through the trouble of purchasing two new wheels =(

I'll repeat: have the runout on those damaged wheels checked. It's critical that they be assessed by an experienced wheel tech before you put them back on the road. Don't take any shortcuts on this!!

In my first explanation I actually didn't mean the 'inner' part of the wheel was damaged, which may've lead you to think that the wheel was damaged much more than it actually is. I was referring to the lip on the side facing the suspenion of the wheel which was bent and damaged. The tires on both damaged wheels are fine and can still be re-mounted.
