245/40F 265/40R on 18" Track Rays ok?
I'm going to buy some new Michelin PS2s for the Z (safety first) but wanted some feedback before pulling the trigger. My car is an occassional driver so I'll be stuck with my decision for at least 2-3 years. Have any of you track wheel owners tried this tire combo?
I've done the math and this seems to be the best combination, taking into consideration stagger, wheel gap/fender clearance, sidewall stiffness, rotational inertia and stock ride height. My only concern being the 265 on a 8.5" width wheel but then I've seen others running 275s...
For reference the stock tire sizes on 18x8"F and 18x8.5"R Track Rays are:
225/45-18(o.d.659.7)
245/45-18(o.d.677.7)
Stagger: +18mm(2.73%)

245/40-18(o.d.653.2mm)

Stagger: +16mm(2.45%)
