How important is that M brace under the carriage?
How important is that M brace under the carriage? Its hitting my exhaust EVER so slightly. Other than covering that area w silicone, if i remove it, will it be bad? I dont autocross...or race..just sometimes take turns hard

The positioning idea wont work, i've tried. The exhaust uses clamps and one just wont tighten. Im going to go pick up a new clamp and if that doesnt work, i'll put washers under the brace. That will DEFINATLEY solve the problem. Thanks again jason. PS- my nuts and bolts are coming in tomarow lol
The only thing i can see it preventing is frame bending. However, its position (in the center) makes me think that area gets very little torque anyway, and is ment more as a protector for the drive shaft

Turned out the clamp was toast. I bought a new clamp and it fixed the problem. I put in spacers just incase. No more rubbing. I had installed and uninstalled the exhaust about 3 or 4 times and the band clamp just wouldnt torque down after being over used and stretched. The new band clamp is tight as a womans.. :-D
