Default VOLKS vs IFORGED?? - Lightness and Strength ?

Hi everyone..
I am planning on getting a set of rims for my FX 35..
Can decide between Volks and Iforged.. My main issue is lightness and strength at the same time.. As FX is a heavier car.. I dont want to deal with bending and breaking issues..
Anyone has thoughts on forged Rims on strength.. Volks or Iforged. .or what else?

Thanks

anything smaller than 20's won't look that great on an FX, so i'd go with 20" volk GT-7's or something...i think that would look awesome...they are decently light for 20's i think

I have heard nothing but problems with iForged wheels, I suggest you stay clear away from them

I wanna go down to 19'' from 20'' to lower the car a little as well as it is damn hard to get 20'' tires here in istanbul.. and those you find. .extremely expensive...

What were main issues with Iforged?

Cant go wrong with TE-37's! With an FX I imagine you could get some nice fat rears!

19 is waaaaaaay too small for an FX, you should be looking at like 22" IMO. FX is a sporty luxury cruiser, not a corner carver. PM Risk on this board, he has 22s on his FX and can give you some feedback.

Seeing as how you dont live in the USA, I would avoid iForged like the plague. Yeah some people have had better luck with them than others, but why take a chance with such a small company thats known for its unresponsiveness?

18's are an option on the FX, but they don't look nearly as nice as the 20's. An aftermarket rim with a lip, though, will "look" smaller than the stock 20 in the same size, just b/c of rim design. If you want a lower look, do it right and get the Eibach springs, remove the roof rails, if you have them, and it will look wicked. Check out InfinitiFX.org for more info. from members there and pics.

just put some heavy 22's on there...its an SUV...gotta have thin tires on a vehicle like that...light wheels that look good are going to be extremely hard to find for the FX

It just won't look right... aftermarket 19s on the FX...

try to find pics of 19" on an SUV and tell us if that's really what you want.

It's not just the service, their wheels are actually flawed! They crack easily!

i read about some guy who sent his bent wheel to iForged so they could fix it and they kept it for several months and then sent it back unfixed. that post resulted in every1 else airing out their grievances towards iForged.

Not trying to start a flame war, but I think you are confusing iForged with HRE. HRE's have been banned from a lot of tracks for "cracking" under extreme use. I have yet to see an iForged wheel fail like this. I would be interested to see some other links/evidence to support this. It is true that the iForged staff blows moose ****, so you better just go through someone like D2 if your buying them, as they try their best to keep iForged on the straight and narrow. I have owned everything under the sun as far as wheels from the low end ADR M-Sports to high end iForged Aeros. I will compare my old Volk Progressiv Spoke wheels with my most recent set of previous iForged Aeros. Build quality on both wheels was awesome, the overall finish on the iForged was in my opinion better than the Volks, due to a couple of minor flaws in the paint. I liked the Volks because the lips were clear coated and only required a good waxing every now and then to look brand new, however the iForged required much longer cleaning sessions every week due to the polished finish. All said and done the iForged looks more "bling" and got far more attention that the Volks, but were a real pain to maintain.

Cliff notes: Both are awesome wheels, pick the style you like the best and go for it.
