Can the stock touring rims (18") fit properly on a base model?

Is the offset different from the base model to the touring/track models?

Just wondering because a potential buyer of my rims said that he was told that the 18" rims will not work on a base model!

I never heard of that, I thought all stock wheels would interchange perfectly between all Z's.
