Default Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3 Tire size?

I am interested in getting these tires for my 04 Track, however, I don't see the stock front sizes available (225/45 18 for front and 245/45 18 for rears). Has anyone had success with these on the 04 tracks and if so, could they tell me what size they used that was closest to the stock feel and look? Thanks.

Go Bigger.

Easily fit 245/275...

You have the Rays rims correct? 8 and 8.5 inches?

PM with any questions.

To tell you the truth I don't know the exact dimension of the rays on my car. I know it's the ones they had for the track before introducing the 35th anniversary/05 edition z's (the 6 spoke rays). But not positive on if it's 8 for the front and 8.5 for the back. I assume so.

So with the 245/275 setup - what would be the exact dimensions? That won't interfere with the wheel well/turning or the mismatch with the speedometer? Thanks!

If your rims are 8"F and 8.5" Rear, then the 275's are too wide. Goodyear specifies a 9" to 11" rim width for that tire size. The widest you can go on an 8.5" rim and remain within Goodyear specifications is 255.

I have just purchased these tires from TireRack in 245/40/18, fronts, and 255/40/18, rears,. They arrived last week and I am going to get them installed this coming week.

As for the effect on speedo readings this is a useful tool:

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos

The 275/40 is almost an exact match for the circumference of the 245/45 tire, which is probably why so many are choosing this size. My own set up will result in my actual speed being 63.42mph when my speedo reads 65mph.

You will see lots of posts where people have put 275's on an 8.5" Rim along with comments that they work just fine. On a car with the 350z's handling capabilities, I would not screw around with tire manufacturer's recomendations. They are in the business of making money and if they could safely spec a tire with a greater rim fitment range and expand the market for the tire they would do so. I would recommend that if you want to go with a wider tire than the 255, do it right and buy some new wheels.

Cheers.

i have the tires, 245/40/18 and 255/45/18 is what im running. (closest to stock, not 255/40) and i love them

click on the pic, you dont want anything over 3% diameter difference. and 2.44% is close enough

245/40/18 and 265/40/18 will be my choice.
It gives you good matching size with stocks and also staggered setup.

As these tires wear, do they produce much road noise?

Thanks for the help! I am going to go ahead and order these.

ericjackson: are the 255/45/18's for the rear? Just curious why you didn't stick with the stock size for the rear since those are available? Is it better suited for the 245/40/18's in the front?

Thanks.
