Question Quick question: What are these for (see pic)

Received a set of wheels and tyres from WheelAutohaus (thanks again Charles for a very professional service )

I'll be fitting these tomorrow if the weather holds, but I'm wondering what the 4 black plastic rings supplied, what are they for exactly?
My guess would be something to do with the inner hub area, but under what circumstances would they be needed for my stock 350Z? i.e. are they mandatory or just for a particular situation?

The wheels are:
Lexion 203 (RAYS)
19x8.5 with 245x35x19 Toyo T1-R
19x10 with 275x35x19 Toyo T1-R

Thanks for any help

(Lug nut showed for scale)

They are called eccentric rings or something like that and fit into the hub hole on the inside of your wheel ---They help center it on the hub

Are they mandatory or should I just slap them on and mount on my stock setup?

Cheers

Thanks again you lot

Hopefully the weather will hold out for a few months here in the UK before I'll need to put the winter wheels back on - I want to enjoy the new blingage

They help to make sure the wheel is centered on the hub so when it spins, its balanced.

Chances are your Rays are 73mm bore and the hub is a 66mm. Those hubcentric rings fit into the Rays to center them on the hub. If you take off the Rays, make sure the rings stay in the wheels. The stock wheels have a 66mm bore to fit the hub already, so if the ring stays on it will cause problems.

you should use them..makes installing the wheels and torquing your lugs a no brainer. As mentioned they center the wheel on the hub
