Default Piaa Super Rozzas

I have been looking around and I came across these wheels

http://www.zmodified.com/gallery/dis...bum=745&pos=17

Has anyone had any experience with these or heard anything about them?
I have the sport package 19" wheels right now and think I'll stay with the 19's, I know I want to go fat in the rear, but what is a good width for the front?

What is a reasonable price to expect for the wheels I have now(they are in excellent condition with a very very small, barely noticable scuff on one of the rear wheels)?

What info do I need before ordering (offset, bolt pattern/spacing)?

Any input is greatly appriciated

I tried your link. It doesn't work.

I have a set of PIAA Super Rozza's. I did the standard 245/35-19's in the front and 275/35-19's in the rear. Michelin Pilot A/S's but there is better rubber out there.

I believe the fronts are 19 x 9 ET25 and the rears are 19 x 10 ET25. Great setup, no rubbing and the offset is perfect. 4.6" rear lip. For more info go to:

http://www.piaa.com/Wheels/wheel_super_rozza.html

Email me at riderbmc@shaw.ca if you want pics to see what the set up looks like.

Great looking wheel. My favorite looking wheel actually.

I had almost bought them, when someone at a local meet said to me, "yeah I like them, but I wish I had just spent the $200-300 extra to get forged rims"

and now I own volk sf challenge with a forged barrel.

To whoever that was, thanks for the advice.

I'm also a fan of forged wheels for their light weight and strength. If they were readily available, my first choice would have been a set of Volk SF Winning or a mesh style wheel from Work (didn't want to wait 60 to 90 days). The PIAA's are definitely not light (on http://www.upgrademotoring.com/wheel...uper_rozza.htm the front wheel weight is 26.1 lbs and the rear wheel weighs 25.8 lbs.

I haven't priced out Volks in a while, but if $200 to $300 extra gets you good quality forged rims, and you are willing to wait for your order, forged might be the way to go. That being said, I love my Super Rozza's, partially due to the fact that I got them used, and for a great price, and in great condition. The huge rear lip always blows people away.

Heavier than forged - yes, but not a concern if you aren't tracking the car or racing in general. Not sure if you have a Z or a G (you refer to having a 19" sport package, but the 2006 Z comes with a staggered setup, 19 rear, 18 front) - in any case, I believe the OEM sport wheels are forged so you might notice the extra weight when you mount the PIAA's.

Mine came with hubcentric rings - if you buy them, make sure your set does too!

PS. Wired 24/7 - your Volks are sweet. They look great on your ride.

I fixed the link.

And yes the wheels I have now are forged aluminum 19's that come on the g35 w/ sport package.

I'm not too worried about the extra weight b/c I won't be racing any time soon. Plus it will give me another reason to go FI.

I've got them in 19x9/19x10. I thought it was 25mm offset front/rear, but comparing them to my buddy's Track Z, I've got less caliper clearance in the front...so I have a lower offset in front than he does. Not sure exactly what it is, but must be custom?

caliper clearance has a lot to do with spoke design more than the offset number.

BMC - thanks

These are my latest set...#6 or 7 in 1yr. Lost count. Always wanted them, and finally got 'em. 19x9/19x10. Because of offset and spoke pattern, there are hardly any wheels with more lip for the Z/G. That is counting front lip, and rear lip too. Even people with 19x9.5/19x10.5 or even 11's in the back are about the same. Should've gone with dubs though...

Anyone know of a good place to get these? I will also be buying tires at the same time so I will go for the best combined price. How hard is it to swap the tire pressure sensors from my current wheels?

we've got em in stock if you are interested

As for weights, keep in mind these are wide 19's - similar sized Volk SF or GT series are very close in weight to these

Where did you see that these don't work with TPS? The guy I talked to when I ordered the said he was pretty sure that they did.

yes they work with the Brembo's.

Not 100% sure on the tpms, but we do have several local customers with these on a variety of trim level G's and Z's and no one has ever said anything about them not working. I'll look into it

What are hubcentric rings? I don't think my rims came with them. Can I buy them anywhere or are they specific to each rim.

any tire place should have the hub rings - most wheel manufacturers do not include them as the wheels fit a variety of cars, and each car has a different bore.

As for TPMS, I'm told they won't fit straight away on the PIAA's due to the lip design. Not sure if our existing customers just did away with the sensors altogether, or if their tire shops figured out a way to make them fit. But, we do have an adapter that will be available in about 2 weeks that will allow for them to be fitted. I have not seen it first hand yet, but one of our distributors told us about it yesterday, so we put the order in for a few sets to have on hand.
