Default Anyone use the Bridgestone RE05A Pole Positions?

I was looking over a tirerack ad in the latest issue of Road and Track and noticed that the RE050A Pole Position was the big ultra high performance tire listed. I was thinking aren't the RE050A's the OEM stock tires that people complained about?

Well doing some research I saw that the Pole Position is an entirely different animal...the Top of the Line designation to replace the S-02 and S-03. I still think the RE050A moniker is a marketing blunder since it's so familiar as a stock tire and a complained about one at that.

Has anybody used these tires? They have them in the common 245/35/19 and 275/35/19 sizes.

Those b@d @sses are OE on the Enzo. Treadwear 140. The PS2's I have now have a treadware rating of 220.

I have them in a 305/30/19. I haven't mounted then yet. I know it's going to be a sick tire.

I have them... and all I can say is that I LOVE them.. considering they are on stock Z 18 inch rims.. I am VERY IMPRESSED with the way they hold and grip.. and I was also supprised with the wet grip they have.. they are definately quieter than the stock RE040's I had. a bit pricy.. but I am sold on them and probably have nothing else on my car.. I can not say how long they will last yet.. (first set) with a treadwear as low as these I would not expect them to last more than 10k..
