Hey guys, I have a crazy A@@ question..I have a set of VR winnings that were on my Z when I bought it. The thing is that I really dont like the way they sit. They kinda stick out some, like a 1/4 in more than what Im comfortable with. Here comes the crazy question. Will I be able to machine the wheel to make it tuck inside the wheel well? I really like the wheels and would like to keep them....Any thought? be easy!!!!!!!!

Are both the front and rear wheels sticking out? Do you know the offsets of the wheels, and did the previous owner put on spacers?

Its just the rears. I dont know what the off set is but I do know there are no spacers. I just want the tire to be tucked in the wheel well. There is not a lot sticking out just about a 1/4 in.

Time to post pics.

You might get away with going to the next smaller tire width, but obviously your rim will poke out the same amount.

+1 on pics, it could be your offset, tire size, or camber.

You can always add more negative camber. Plenty of guys here on the board have wheels specs that would probably stick out past the fender if they were to run 0 camber, but dialing in -2 to -4 camber can make a world of a difference. That and thinner tires.

sticking out the fenders to him is probably just flush to most of us. Please post pics, your post means nothing without one. I wouldn't machine a "what i assume" good condition volk wheel. Sell it and buy something less aggressive.

post a pic!

im also willing to bet he's at stock height making the wheels look more aggressive than they really are.
