Default VOLK GTF problem - Vendors might help?

I'm not really happy with the colour, I'm quite bummed by it actually. When I ordered them, I thought they were going to look like this (nice and black, the contrast that I wanted):

http://www.rays-msc.com/wheels/img/GTF-MDC-Gunmeta.jpg

but when I got them, they look all washed out like this (I wish I saw this site earlier):

http://www.scienceofspeed.com/produc...0MDC%20GM3.JPG

Being a 2 piece wheel, is it possible to just somehow replace this centre piece without the barrel/lip?

You didn't get Matt Diamond Cut that's what you wanted...looks like either Mercury Silver or Titanium Gun metal. Why don't you show an actual pic of your wheels? Anyway, just return em for right color.

Check out this link out for colors:

Those are MDC, you can tell by the texture of the finish, and that the fronts of the spokes are not color matched to the rest.

Why did my thread get moved into an existing thread? I didn't come here to show off and post pics of my wheels. I want to get a vendors attention and hopefully get some help on the issue!!

By the way, I got MDC Gunmetal but it looks different in person than in pics. Here is a pic as requested, notice how there is not enough contrast:

Here they are:

Does look like your's are a tad lighter shade of black...but certainly not like the original you posted here which appears REALLY faded:

Actually they are that faded, it just depends on the lighting when the picture is taken. At night they would look a lot more black so yeah.

The first pic you posted is MDC black. I have MDC gunmetal (your second pic). Note that this is MDC Gunmetal aswell: http://www.rays-msc.com/wheels/img/GTF-MDC-Gunmeta.jpg it's very misleading because it looks more like your first pic (MDC Black).

So my enquiry is, are there any vendors here that have this wheel in stock and are willing to swap out their black centres with my gunmetal centres (at a price ofcourse).

Anyone know if it's feasible to paint over the lips of LE style volk wheels? And how about powder coating? Specifically if I wanted to take an LE28n and have it painted or powdercoated to be one color ( like a regular CE28n). Wondering whether the machined lip will cause any issues. Thanks...

Nice thanks for the feedback! They look good. Any idea if they had to do anything special to prep the machined lips, other than their standard prep for powder coating?

I'm not sure. I took them in and just got a quote. They never said it would require extra work because of the lip.
