Sup fellas,
Looking to put some new tires on the 03 OEM Touring 18s, since no one wants to trade me their track wheels.
Don't know whether to go with 555's or the 555R's. I want maximum grib as I am running nitrous, but I want something that won't hydroplain in the rain or wear out in 6 months. I just don't know how well the 555R's handle in the rain or as a daily driver for that matter. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?
What about the 555's....will they hold 400whp? I know they do great in the rain, I just don't know if they'd have enough grip for what I'm after. Any help is greatly appreciated.

555R's are drag radials and will hydroplain on wet roads. 555's are okay tires for everyday use. I suggest looking into falken azenis, I have them on my car and they are great tires.

I read some reviews that said the 555R's grip ok in wet weather until the tread is flat. Then they slide like crazy. Any idea how long before that happens? I'll research the Falkens. Are they performance tires or drag radials?

Checked out the Falkens....alot of complaints about noise....but that was one of the only complaints. At only $160/each, I might actually slap these on. 255/40/18s too wide for the stock touring 18s?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Went to Discount Tire yesterday to check out what each one looked/felt like. The BFG G-Force looks good. Good reviews and decent tread wear. Gonna demo those until I can put my hands on some Falkens.
