Default Buying Wheels Need Help

I am planning on buying wheels.

Wheel Diameter (Inches):
18"

Wheel Width (Inches):
8.5"

PCD Bolt Pattern:
5x114.3

Offset:
25mm

Hub Bore:
67.1

Wheel Diameter (Inches):
18"

Wheel Width (Inches):
9.5"

PCD Bolt Pattern:
5x114.3

Offset:
28mm

Hub Bore:
67.1

And I need help choosing a tire size. I was recommended to go 255/35/18 and 275/35/18. Is this a wise choice? I want fat tires but nothing like 295+ . Also is the 35 good? or should it be 40?

I would like this to be a fairly safe setup =P With no rubbing. Does the 2nd number basically determine how fat the tire is from the lip to the top?
Thank for your help.

The sizes that you have selected are the same as the NISMO wheels. Use the NISMO recommended tire sizes.

I think you were suggested 245/40 275/35 or 265/35 275/35 For the 'look good' kinda look. For handling and stability i'd do 265/40 all around.

245/40/18 front (or a 255 if you can find them) 275/40/18 rear

a 265 on a 8.5 inch wheel looks ridiculous (IMHO)

can anyone tell me what the difference will be between a 35 and a 40

Will my tires be more low profile? Will the 35 be unsafe?
