Here's an update:
-I had been planning to raise the car about 1/2" b/c I had bottomed out a few times (pot holes, speed bumps...). but after driving the car for a few months lowered like this, I haven't had any issues for awhile; I think I've just changed my driving habits and am more aware of possible problems areas and just avoid them or go slower. I'm planning to leave the coilovers as is...I might raise them only if heavy rain posses a problem (I live in Seattle
).
*I've learned to turn around when I see speed bumps
...no chance of getting over those.
-The JIC's are great - I've drilled some small holes in the rear strut brace so that I can adjust the rear dampening (the front adjustment ***** are easy to access). I've had a few autoX's where I've played with settings but my driving needs to become more consistent before I can feel more of the differemce. As far as the street, I leave them 2-3 clicks from full soft and the ride is comfortable and not too boucny.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the driveability of these coilovers!
