Default Press Release: VOLK Racing RE30

RAYS Engineering to debut new VOLK Racing RE30

October 18, 2006 - Duarte, CA

As you all know in my previous thread, RAYS Japan is releasing a brand new one piece forged wheel called the RE30. The new RE30 will feature the best balance between strength and lightness. The spoke placement and shape increases the strength of the wheel by 30%, the unique disc shape of the new one piece forged wheel is designed to achieve maximum lip. The RE30 will be offered in 3 disc types and 2 rim depths giving it a 6mm lip difference of the CE28. As of now, the only size it will be offered in is an 18 inch up to a 10.5 width and the colors available will be Mercury silver, Bronze and special colors. Other sizes will soon be released in the up coming year. The weight of the RE30 will be comparable to the CE and lighter than the famous TE. Because of the special relationship between Performance Nissan and Mackin Industries, we have already put in a pre-order as well as a special request for other colors. Mackin Industries, with a rep from RAYS Japan have already introduced the physical wheel for display to the staff at Performance Nissan and we have seen this wheel first hand. The RE30 will be the ultimate wheel for the enthusiasts who are geared towards competitve motorsports. The new RE30 will be making its debut appearance at the 2006 SEMA show in Las Vegas this coming November. Now, what you have all been waiting for, exclusive photos of the new RE30!

Weight is in between the TE and CE, meaning lighter than the TE but slightly heavier than the CE.

For Z/G fitment, the offsets would be 18x9.5 +22 and 18x10.5 +18.

fitment guide.. 18" only for now.... Also just to give some heads up on how they got the design.. Rays will be making wheels for F1 next year and from all their R&D this design/setup are the strongest and lightest... So pretty much this wheels is how the F1 wheel will look like... so keep your eyes on the look out next year for this design on the Formula 1 Track...
