How much do the stock 17's weight?

The Volk TE37 18x7 wheight 17 pounds, so I guess the 18x8 and 18x8.5 shouldn't be very far from that... Should they increase performance even though they much bigger?

The Volk TE37s, being closely related (design-wise) to the Track Ray's, are very close to the 18 pound weight of the Ray's. So far, I have found just the Volk CN28s lighter than the Ray's for a specific size 18" rim.
When considering performance increases, you should also take into account the total tire, wheel, wheel weight and lug nuts into the equation. Often savings in wheel weights are offset by heavier tires. For instance, the popular (at least on this web forum) Pole Position S-03 tires are MUCH heavier than a comparable Potenza RE-040.
