I have the same mod 7 rims, but I can't seem to get the caps to fit flush. Any ideas?

I guess make sure the cover under the cap is lined up with the lines of each spoke. Twist it on gently by hand until you feel it catch into the groove. Then use the black screw piece (should have came with the kit) to screw it on tight. Might help if you lubed up the grooves. Not sure what else I can say to help.

Thanks, ok. it's the plates under the caps that won't fit flush. Maybe the bolts I have (closed ends) are too tall or long, thus pushing against flush point for the plates. As far as the plates go, there seems to be only one way to install since they have a small screw that fits thru them and bolts to the wheel.

Ok I know what you mean have the same problem on one of my plates under the cap. The screw is slighty too long and rubs up against the cap when it's fully tightened. I've been too lazy to go to a hardware store and get a smaller screw. So basically all you need it get some screws with the same width but smaller in length.

Default MY axis mod 7's

The funny thing is I ordered Axis Matrix while I was in Iraq They (CHRIS OVERLEY FROM DISCOUNT TIRE) sent me axis mod 7's so I just went with it because I had them six months in storage without knowing. My friend received them for me, but the rims were covered so no one checked, until I did two wks ago... and had a heart attack WRONG RIMS.. It was too late

Not a bad rim to get by mistake...lol. I love mine...I was actually interested in the Hiros or Milanos...but ran across a good deal on the mods. Welcome to the Axis family Eez. Go big or go home...

(only axis haters are the ignorant people who still try to pull the axis wheels crack, which they dont since the single run of bad hiros which they quickly fixed)

Correction!!! After my first set of Cracked Hiro's were replaced with another set of a Much Better Hiro's the second one's CRACKED as well but this time it wasn't just a few hairline cacks.. The spokes actually came apart. Needless to say I bought Forged wheels and haven't had a problem since.. I bought them originally because they were a great looking wheel and I failed to listen to others when I heard their wheels had CRACKED too but I learned the hard way... Check them Often for Cracks.............

Love the 10.5 in the rear. Would like to upgrade next summer with some 10.5's and keep my 8.5's up front.
