These are obviously for the new VIP segment that the magazines and bespoke, aka bulletproof have all been writing about. Obviously, VIP style is old hat in Japan, but a new, growing sement here. Supposedly, again, Yakuza originated the look, and chrome wheels were the choice color on dark colored, upscale, luxury cars. Or in other words, they're supposed to look like a Japanese gangster's car.

SEMA has also published a new study to it's members that states chrome is in 
+1 for chrome!
Rays makes some great stuff but I am still not really a fan because it's so common (I am not discounting their great quality) and I am one that likes to go against the grain
Right now it's all about Weds and Enkei made wheels because they are ISO certified (AME Wheels).

If I had a Lexus GS, 5 series BMW ect. I'd look into these. But not on a Z. The G may be able to pull them off.
