Well I finally took a chance and repainted my wheels. I didn't go to a powdercoating facility nor a body shop. I did this in my garage. Here is a quick guide.
**this is the method I used, it may not be suitable for everyone**
Step 1: Wash and dry the wheels.
Step 2: Sand the wheels with 600 grit sand paper.
Step 3: Clean all the dust off the wheels.
Step 4: Apply masking tape to the outter portion between the wheel and tire.
Step 5: Apply light coat of primer.
Step 6: Apply two coats of paint.
Step 7: Apply clear finish (2 coats).
Step 8: Enjoy.
Here are the pics.

U spray canned the wheels? Hope that it lasts long enough and does not flake off. That's just my opinion, take it with a grain of salt. At least you are doing it yourself. Hope it works out for you.

It is special paint for wheels, so no chipping. I would never paint wheels with regular spray paint. Thanks though.

as long as they aren't nismos, I think it looks great.
I powdercoated my TEs black and it looks fabulous. truthfully, the finish on the rotas is **** anyway. it looks bad so the spray paint might even give it some texture.
nice pick. hope it holds up!
