EXCELLENT WORK!!
EXCELLENT WORK!!
Kudos to the dude who ain't afraid to think outside the box. If it doesn't work out, maybe he'll have saved some money for some time attacks or something. If they do work out--then he's got what he wanted and didn't spend 10% of the value of the car on rims and tires.
And . . . I have never owned a PT cruiser, but if I do, it will be paid for in cash just like all my other vehicles . . .so if you are making payments. . .you don't really even own your car . . .you are just renting--just something to think about while your noises are up in the air.

So you said all in all it took you about 6hrs. Thats not bad and they came out awesome. Benny is right about the paint quality. I painted my handles and headlights with spray paint and its still holding up well. Good work. You inspire me to paint my own wheels. They arent "volks" so its okay. HAHA

I wouldn't paint the wheels with regular spray paint though. Get the duplicolor stuff I got, it holds up to certain conditions and changes in temperature to resist chipping and discoloration.

Don;t get me wrong I love Z's and always will--I have a 91 2+2, a 94TT (424rwh), a 2000 S10, 2002 GSXR 1000 and a 350z, but I used to own a 1998 BMW540i, a 1999 996 (w/10K tech art rims) and a 2000 Range Rover (I sold the latter 3 when I quit practicing law). So, I guess what I am saying is that a Z ain't the top of the heap. If you have a 360 Modena or a Bugatti or a Ford 500GT then maybe you can say everyone else is driving crap, but until then, my fellow Z snobs, you guys should just chill. It's only a 35k car.

IMO that wouldnt go to well with the rest of your car. i Say paint the calipers a nice black, or dark gray...
Wow 97supratt, your wheels came out freakin' amazing. So you bought all the Duplicolor stuff at Autozone 'n such? I'm planning on doing this on my stock wheels for kicks and experiment around. I haven't seen any DIY's for painting the wheels and I don't feel like spending $200-300 to have somebody do the same job I can. If you can PM me some more details on what you did, I'd greatly appreciate it. Maybe I'll get to this project this weekend and post up some pics.
