What are stock sized S-03's like
Now that the nice weather is returning I am looking to replace my Re040 with S-03's on my Track Z.
When I replaced the Pilot Sports on my M3 with S-02's a couple of years ago, I saw a real improvement in ride and handling. Most of that was likely due to comparing new tires to worn Pilot Sports.
I'm curious if anyone has replaced their RE040's with S-03's and kept the stock sizes and has seen a difference in ride, handling and noise? I am not prepared to go to a lower profile tire due to the quality of roads around here.
One of the changes BMW made to the M3 between 1995 and 1996 was switching to a higher profile front tire to stop people from denting rims. I had 3 rims straightened on my 95 M3 due to potholes. I traded it in on a 96 with forged wheels and never dented another rim.
