Hi,
I have searched through the forum and it looks like people are saying I can use my car (2004, touring, 6 speed)in the snow, icy conditions provided I have snow tires.
I live in san francisco so I don't deal with snow everyday and I may have to deal with snow probably 10 weekends for winter season only when I go snow boarding.
I am really not sure what to do , either to buy snow tire or an old car or put snow chains like spikes-spider? Since I live in the city and parking is very bad..I don't like the idea of maintaining two cars..
Any suggestions ?

Check to see if chains are even leagl where you are. Go with snow tires

 

yeah, I used chains and they are legal..but I wonder if any body used spikes spider..
