Kuhmo MX Sizing

I am looking for new tires and have decided on the Kumho MXs (ok or the Falken Azenis RT615, but I think the MXs are better for daily driving and wet conditions, but thats not what this thread is about
)
I have the stock track Rays wheels (8" Front, 8.5" rear) and want to go 245/40-Front and something bigger than 255/40-rear (my current rear setup). 265/40 is ideal as per the tire size calculators, as is 275/40. The sizes available are 265/35 and 275/40. I will use these tires for AutoX, track and daily driving, so I think 275 is a bit wide for the rear wheels (I have read of people successfully running 275, and honestly haven’t totally eliminated this option either). I would like to know how the Kumho MXs stand up in the real world in terms of sidewall height and width. I think 265/35 might be a viable option despite what the tire size calculators tell me if the MXs tend to run tall.
Does anyone with these tires know if they run tall(in which case 265/35/18 might be the perfect)?

this is a 245/40 on a 18" wheel

and this is a 275/40 on a 18" wheel

but since i am in a area now that has different seasons (as opposed to Texas), I am needing a high performance all season tire. I am thinking of going with the Kumho ASX. their customer rating is real high and the tires are priced good. Never had an issue with Kumhos

Thanks for the info and pics guys.
After doing more research, I don’t think I want to risk such a large potential error percentage (5.2% fast for a 265/35/18) which would not only throw off the speedo but potentially cause the VDC to get screwy on me when daily driving. As a result, I am going to go with the Falken Azenis RT615 sized 245/40/18 and 255/40/18.
Z04, how are the MXs in the wet? That seems to be one of the differentiating factors between the two tires; the MXs are better in the wet and the RT615 are better in the dry.

i have driven 70 mph in a thunderstorm and never hydroplaned. of course i never pushed it when the road is wet on hard corners, and if you get on it a bit too hard on a stop light the TCS comes on briefly. Other than minor stuff, they handle pretty good IMO when wet. Of course my tire sizes may have a lot to do with this as well
