Default Wheel locks

is there a way to get wheel locks off if you lost the key for them? i had a buddy mount some tires for me at work, and now the lock key is missing. TIA

They make special kits for extracting wheels lock, some dealers and most larger wheel/tire shops will have one and can take the lock off for you.

You can also try hammering on an old socket over the lug nut then use an impact wrench to try and remove it.

the locks were on car when i got it, so i have no idea where they are from.

thanks for help guess ill call dealer and discount tire tomorow.

I used a 12 point socket and pounded it on...

check real good in the spare tire area, sometimes this is where the wheel lock may be kept. I don't use them for this specific reason, plus i think there was issues with a couple of brands (can't remember which) of stripping out, even with a key.
