You can use OEM lug nuts on after market wheels, but on some wheels you will have to use a thin socket to turn the lugs. Places like Discount Tires have thin sockets. You will have to request them. Thin sockets are also available for purchase at stores such as Auto Zone, but most of them are made for impacts or torque wrenches. It's actually not a bad idea to pick up a torque wrench since aftermarket wheels require frequent checks when you first put them on. As for aftermarket lugs such as the ones with the tapered rings made from light weight composite materials, you can not use an impact to tighten or install them on OEM wheels. Most quality lug sets will run you around 120-250 for the set. If you don't want to spend that much you can go with a cheaper set made from Muteki or Kyokugen.
