Inexpensive Z rated tires?
do you know a good quality tire that is z-rated and performs well in wet weather?
i live in miami and i have the porxies t1-r and i love them for the wet weather handling, however the life expectancy is rather low. approx 10months and at $225-$250 a pop is hurting the wallet.
im looking for something along the lines of khumo something about $150-$175 a tire.
thanks for your help!

BFG KDW NT's are nice... They are a little noisey and my rear tires lasted right about a year, 16k miles.
But they are Y rated 186mph, they are great in the rain, and are pretty sticky. They ran about $200 mounted per tire, 245/45/18

Khumo makes a solid tire I've run them on various sports cars for years.
Great bang for the buck. The Ecsta 712's and MX's compare very well to tire that are much more expensive.
Plus there could be a tricke down of technology from their racing programs..

Also.. a tires Rated above 149 are considered ZR tires.. the W or Y specifies how far Above 149 they are rated for.

they dont make the pirelli in a 285/35/19 but thanks for the recomendation. i think what ill end up going with is the goodyear eagle gs-2 emt. seems like they are the best deal for thew cash. plus they are run flat which is an added bonus. i just cant find out if they are z-rated or if they are w/y-rated. anyone know?
Federal 595 FTW, I can get a great deal on Federals. Just got a setup for my Friend's NSX. 225/35/18 and 265/30/19 for $570.00 WITH TAX. woot woot. that's four tires.
