Default lug nut size/wheel locks

Two questions:

1. What size socket is needed for the wheel lug nuts? 7/8" is too big and 13/16" is too small. I'm guessing it is a metric size.

2. Where are people placing the wheel lock socket? I put it where the jack is at but had to leave it loose under the velcro strap.

It is metric, but I can't remember what it was. 23 mm maybe?

As for where I put my lock, I drilled a hole in the styrofoam with a spade bit to just fit the socket, then chipped a little finger hole out of it so I could grab the socket to pull it back out.

BTW, if you got the Nissan kit or the type with the little teeth around the outside edge of the key socket, be careful. I scratched up the inside of my wheel when I had it on slightly tilted and tighted up the lock. I've taped around the teeth on my key now, so neither I nor a shop will do it again.

Hi Mannish. Just so you know that your experiences do help others, I have mine and have NOT put them on the car because of your previous post about the little teeth scratching the wheel.

I wanna make sure I grind/smooth those up before I put them on.

Glad I can help. I only did it on one wheel, so if you have the socket set on the nut right, it shouldn't do it. I'd hope my tape job will take the risk out for me

BTW, I can't type..."tighted the lock up"? That should be "tightened"

If you have the standard, Acorn lugs that came with you Z in use, they are absolutely, without a doubt, 13/16". The wheel lock requires a 21MM socket.

21mm = 13/16"
19mm = 3/4"
