Default Need new rear tires, requesting a picture from stock 17" 255/45

I need new rear tires and it seems that 245/45 [front] and 255/45 [rear] are recommended over the stock sizing due to more rubber. I searched quite a bit and saw that there will be a "bulge" when going with this size. Does anyone have a picture they can show me of this bulge? I can't quite picture what it will look like

Thank-you

I doubt if you will be able to see an additional 20mm. I recently shopped for 245/45 [front] and 255/45 [rear] tires but found the selection limited.

Tirerack seems to have a good selection for 17" Are you deciding to use the stock size or 245/45 and 255/45?

My tires are fine, but I always keep my eye open for a deal. I did not find Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 in 245/45 [front] and 255/45 [rear].

Hi Davidv,

Been thinking a lot of keeping my stock 17" wheels as my mod budget is getting stretched.

Did a search and like you found the max reccommended by bros here are F245/45 and R 255/45. I'm also thinking for getting Eagle F1s. Are you sure they don't come in those sizes?

Any other good combos for stock 17's??? (using F1s)

Many thanks
B

The Falken 512s aren't bad at all with an excellent tread rating. I have an extra set of those for my friend, but I think he's backing out. PM me if you want to buy them up??? same size as you're looking for too... 245/45 255/45

I just had 245/45 | 255/45s installed last week. BFG KDWS (which I've run before on my old Cobra). GREAT tire and the sizes are a good match for the stock rims.

I can get a couple pics this afternoon but it'll be from my phone. The front tire has a bit more bulge than the rear.

Default 245/45|F & 255/45|R BFG KDWS on stock 17" rims

Tried to get a shot straight from the side and the rear but neither turned out due to glare or blur.

Just remember that another brand of tire will fit ever-so-slightly differently
