A guy I work with has decided to send in his touring model wheels to be chromed. He took it in to get the tires taken off the wheels, then brought it to work to remove the vavlestem/pressure sensors. While looking at the inside area of the wheel, close to the sensor, there is a stamp of sorts that reads: HELIUM 13:10 4/26/02

All have the same stamp with varying times and dates(dates are all within 3 days of each other).

I have been lurking here for a while and dont recall ever hearing of this. Any ideas?

 

Sounds like a proof mark from a pressure/leak test of some sort.
